For more than 250 years, the historic campus of Christ Church has been a sanctuary where generations of people have gathered to worship, heal, and serve. Over the years, our mission and our ministries have expanded to address the changing needs of the parish and wider communities.
This inspired campaign – Our Hope & Home for Years to Come – embodies our commitment to ensuring our parish home remains a beacon of God's unbounded love and welcome for all people. By expanding our full-time clergy, we will deepen our pastoral care and spiritual formation. Through vital capital improvements, including an elevator in the Parish House to provide access to all floors, modernized multi-use spaces, and accessible bathrooms, we will remove the barriers that prevent full participation in our programs and events and create a more inclusive, welcoming environment for all.
In our ongoing work to understand and acknowledge our history, funds from this campaign will enable us to create a memorial in the churchyard to honor the enslaved people who built our church.
And, finally, a dedicated campaign tithe will expand the vital work of our Lazarus Ministries that support those in our community that experience poverty, violence, and injustice.

Improving welcome and access at Christ Church.
A new elevator in the Parish House will provide access to all floors, making worship, programs, meetings, and community activities more accessible to everyone. Improvements to the reception area will create a more open and welcoming first point of connection for members, visitors, and neighbors.
Building facilities for full participation.
Modern, accessible bathrooms will remove a significant barrier to full participation in the life of Christ Church. These improvements will make our campus more welcoming and usable for people of all ages and abilities.
Creating flexible space for ministry and parish life.
Improvements to the lower level will transform underused space into flexible, welcoming areas that can support the Recovery Suite, Christian formation, fellowship, meetings, outreach, and the many ministries that bring people together at Christ Church.
Enriching nourishment and fellowship.

Investments in music and technology will strengthen the ways we worship, learn, communicate, and gather. These improvements will support Christ Church's vibrant musical tradition while helping worship and ministry reach people both on campus and beyond.
Honoring the people whose labor constructed and supported this church.
An inclusive memorial in the churchyard will both honor the enslaved people who built Christ Church and help us tell a fuller, more truthful story of our shared history. The memorial installation is an opportunity to remember with justice, honesty, and dignity those whose labor built the parish. Christ Church is commitment to understanding and acknowledging its history as we build a more welcoming future together.
Extending Christ Church’s ministry beyond our walls.
Our campaign will tithe by returning 10% of our resources to support Lazarus Ministries and its work with neighbors experiencing poverty, violence, and injustice. This commitment reminds us that building a stronger church also means strengthening our community and responding to Christ’s call to serve those most in need.
Four Buildings | Four Centuries
Christ Church is more than 250 years old, but a careful reading of the timeline shows that our four buildings touch four centuries. They house deep and meaningful worship, intense pastoral conversations, recovery meetings, food pantries, Christian formation, choir practices, receptions, community events, concerts, weddings, funerals, candlelit services, Christmas pageants (and the star!), baptisms, confirmations, and so much more.
Today our campus – with hearty buildings entrusted to us by generations past and maintained with thoughtful care – is in real need of long-term, smart improvements for a new time and new generations at Christ Church.
