As you are all aware, our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems are antiquated and their components are failing. The failing HVAC system can have a profound impact on the historic Church itself and many aspects of life at Christ Church, including our physical worship spaces, our Outreach and Mission Ministries, and many other ministries and programs that are based in or supported from the Parish House.

HVAC Status

We are excited that work has already begun on Phase 1 of our HVAC renovations, replacing the chiller and cooling tower. In the months to come work will be done on Historic Church systems, the Memorial Parish House and finally the Old Parish House. The work is focused on essential HVAC renovations deemed most important by the HVAC Committee and Vestry. For updates on progress of the project, visit the newly updated HVAC pages by clicking here.

In addition to funds from the Church reserves and substantial support from the Christ Church Foundation, a $1.8 million Capital Campaign was announced three weeks ago by campaign Co-Chairs Lee & Ted Ellett and Ann & Chris McMurray to the congregation at each of the Sunday services. As of February 28, the HVAC Campaign has raised more than $635,000, which is 35% our goal!

In the coming weeks, if you have not already been contacted, a fellow parishioner will contact you to set up a visit to discuss this exciting endeavor. When that time comes, please approach the campaign with an open heart. Please graciously accept their call on behalf of Christ Church. We would ask that each of you prayerfully consider the request.
