Gathering Groups

  • 20/30 Vision groupThe 20/30 Vision group provides an outlet for fellowship, faith formation, and service. Through spiritual and social discourse, we help each other to be good stewards in our congregation and the larger community. This is a place for us to build relationships and find meaning.   • Christ Church Bridge Group: We meet weekly to play bridge and enjoy fellowship. Both novice and experienced players are welcome. For more information, contact Jay Purcell.
  • Christ Church Movie Club: All are invited to the Christ Church Movie Club! Each month, we’ll pick a movie that everyone can go and see at their leisure. Then the group meets to discuss themes, theological underpinnings, and various theatrical nuances. We’ll announce the movie at the beginning of each month to give ample time to see it before the Club meets for a 7:00 p.m. dinner and discussion. For more information, contact Glen Hewitt.
  • Covenant Class: A ten-week class for seekers, newcomers, and those who are curious about their faith, Christianity, and what it is to be an Episcopalian in a safe, intimate, and welcoming setting. For more information contact Linda Fischer.
  • Daughters of the King: We are a spiritual sisterhood dedicated to a life of prayer, service, and evangelism which meets monthly to study and pray for the needs of the parish and the world. For more information,  contact Helen Lewis
  • Dinner Church: Monthly gatherings on the 1st Wednesday from October to April in the Auditorium from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. RSVP's needed. 
  • Education for Ministry (EfM): A small-group course taken across four years to deeply explore the Bible, Christian history and theology, and our personal encounters with God. For more information, contact Ridge Multop.
  • Flower Guild: We arrange the flower displays at Christmas, Easter, and other occasions. For more information, contact Melinda Hudson.
  • Genesis to Revelation Bible Study: A Monday night Bible study which explores the Bible and how it feeds missionary efforts large and small. For more information, contact Paul Currer .
  • Interfaith Bible Study with Temple Beth El: Third Thursday at 7:30 p.m. A Bible study hosted by Beth El Hebrew Congregation which reads the Hebrew Bible deeply and shares interpretation from Jewish and Christian perspectives. For more information, contact Tom Hahn . 
  • Men’s Group: We gather Thursday mornings to support each other and discuss how faith informs our daily lives in our Christian journey as men. 
  • Men’s Bible Study: A Monday evening gathering for men where we study and discuss the Bible or other spiritual works. For more information, contact John Ronveaux . 
  • Moorings Women’s Bible Study: A Tuesday night gathering of women seeking to support each other, study the Bible or other spiritual works, and to strengthen their spiritual moorings for life today. For more information, contactAndrea McNicholas . 
  • One Sock On: We seek to provide fellowship and support for parents of infants and toddlers, as well as a time for the little ones to meet each other, in our weekly gatherings. For more information, contact Holly & Brett Levanto.
  • Out & About: We gather monthly to share food and fellowship as a way of extending Christ Church’s welcome to lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender people. For more information, contact David Hoover.
  • Parents Coffee and Conversation: Parents of all ages gather in the Teen Center for fellowship and conversation over coffee and pastries.  Occasional speakers join the group to discuss issues of interest. For more information, contact Emily Bryan.
  • Sisterhood of the Traveling Pans: We cook meals for delivery to those who have newborns or are sick. For more information, contact Andrea McNicholas.
  • Stewards of the Dirt (SOD): Bring your gardening gifts and get your hands dirty with us as we maintain the churchyard. For more information, contact Caroline Carbaugh . 
  • Sunday Fellowship Breakfast Teams: We work together to prepare, serve, and clean up from the Third Sunday Fellowship Breakfasts, focusing on ways of building connections and fostering fellowship. For more information, contact Betsy Hahn.
