Calling All Revelers!

This New Year's Eve, Christ Church will be a venue for First Night Alexandria. We'll host performances by Michael Lille, an acclaimed singer/songwriter best known in our area as a member of the popular folk/rock group Spiedel, Goodrich, Goggin and Lille. Returning again this year is the acclaimed Broad Street Brass, a five-person jazz ensemble from Richmond. The rest of the evening would be free to attend other events across the City. An Evening of Centering Prayer

On November 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the historic Church, we welcome Mary Dwyer, one of the early founders of the Centering Prayer movement, to teach us the basics of Centering Prayer. Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. What is contemplative prayer?
