The Rev. Dr. Titus Leonard Presler, one of the Episcopal Church’s leading authorities and advocates for global mission work, will lead the 9:00 a.m. forum on February 11, World Mission Sunday 2018.

Dr. Presler, who has extensive mission experience in India, Zimbabwe and Pakistan, will discuss the challenges and opportunities of mission work in today’s world, how our faith guides our service and how the relationships we form as a result of mission go far to deepen and enrich our spiritual experiences and our understanding of God’s call to all people.

A former president of the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas and academic dean at General Theological Seminary in New York, Presler is on the board of the Global Episcopal Mission Network, an independent organization that promotes mission work in the church. The group will hold its 2018 conference at the Virginia Theological Seminary on April 11-13.

Dr. Presler speaks widely and has written several books about mission. His most recent book, Going Global with God: Reconciling Mission in a World of Difference, is available in Kindle and paperback editions.
