On Sunday, June 2, at 5:00, internationally renowned organist and composer, Bruce Neswick and the Christ Church Choirs will be joined by the choirs from St. Mary’s Arlington, Redeemer Bethesda, Grace Alexandria, St. Paul’s Alexandria, St. George’s Arlington, and St. Luke’s Alexandria.

The combined forces should offer a thrilling sound. However, your voice is just as important. The service is structured around themes from the Nicene Creed and will offer a number of hymns which the entire congregation will sing. Additionally, the choirs will sing a couple of anthems. Following the service, a festive reception will be held in the churchyard. This is certain to be a memorable experience.

Bruce Neswick is Associate Professor of Music in Organ and Sacred Music at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Prior to this appointment, he was the Director of Music at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. He has also worked at the Episcopal cathedrals in Atlanta, Lexington, and Buffalo. An accomplished composer as well as performer, Neswick has served on the faculty for the Sewanee Church Music Conference, the Mississippi Church Music Conference, numerous Royal School of Church Music camps, and in festivals across the country. It is an honor to have him join with us at Christ Church this day. It will be a joy to attend.
