We are pleased to announce that work has already begun on Phase 1 of our HVAC renovations, replacing the chiller and cooling tower. In the months to come work will be done on Historic Church systems, the Memorial Parish House and finally the Old Parish House. The work is focused on essential HVAC renovations deemed most important by the HVAC Committee and Vestry.

As you are all aware, our HVAC systems are antiquated, unreliable, and components are failing. The failing HVAC system has a profound impact on many aspects of life at Christ Church, including our physical worship spaces, our Outreach and Mission Ministries, and many other ministries and programs that are based in or supported from the Parish House

To support this work we are launching a Capital Campaign with a goal of $1.8 million. To date, the HVAC Campaign has raised more than $400,000, or nearly 25% of our goal!  Fifty-three (53) parish families have already pledged support to our campaign, representing an average pledged gift of nearly $8,000!

In the coming weeks, every family will have the opportunity to participate in this historic effort by a personal visit or a call from a dedicated parishioner serving on behalf of Rev. Klemmt. When that time comes, please approach the campaign with an open heart. In the meantime, consider volunteering with the campaign, click here to suggest a name for the campaign, and join us for the upcoming forum about the project. We have training sessions scheduled for next week. Please consider attending:

  • Volunteer orientation and training, Tuesday, February 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Library
  • Volunteer orientation and training, Thursday, February 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Meade Room
  • Forum on HVAC Renovations and Capital Campaign, Sunday, February 23, at 10:15 a.m. in the Meade Room

Please pray for the continued success of this campaign.  May God Bless you!
