The Outreach Committee voted to distribute the funds from the Christ Child Project Christmas Store account to Carpenter’s Shelter, Community Lodgings, and The Boys and Girls Club of Alexandria. Each received $2,000 for summer children’s programs. This is a excerpt from the Carpenter’s Shelter thank you for the gift.

Christ Child Project Benefits Carpenter’s Children

by Kelly Andreae

Thanks to the Christ Child Project, the generosity of Christ Church and its congregation, Carpenter’s Shelter is able to offer our youngest residents the tools and resources they need to succeed under tumultuous circumstances. Christ Church’s compassion, donations, and undying support for Carpenter’s Shelter and its residents help to strengthen Alexandria’s children and families which guarantee that every child has a permanent, loving home.

Christ Church’s continued support, allows Carpenter’s Shelter to send our children to camp this summer and provide early learning programs that offer children the support, knowledge and skills they need to reach their full potential. Thank you for supporting Carpenter’s Shelter and thank you for believing in the future of our children.
