On November 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the historic Church, we welcome Mary Dwyer, one of the early founders of the Centering Prayer movement, to teach us the basics of Centering Prayer. Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. What is contemplative prayer? Prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. For more information, please contact the Rev. Ann Gillespie.
