#VirtualShrove

Posted by Development , February 9, 2015

Due to the snow, there will not be a Shrove Tuesday breakfast-for-dinner feast hosted by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew’s and the Christ Church Youth Groups on site this year. In place of the event itself, we would like to follow the lead of Father Tim Schenck, online author of Clergy Confidential, Finding God in Daily Chaos. We can still share our Shrove Tuesday by eating pancakes and posting photos of the fun on social media with the hashtag #VirtualShrove. Give it a try and we'll re-post your photos!

Choral Evensong on October 5

Posted by Development , September 26, 2014

Join us for the first Evensong of this program year. The Choir will sing works by Morton Lauridsen, John Sanders, Gary Davison, and Christina Whitten Thomas. The prelude, which will begin at 4:40, will feature Franz Schubert’s Fantasie in F Minor. Many people believe this work to be among the finest compositions for four-hand piano. Director of Music Jason Abel will be joined by Zach Fritsch-Hemenway in performing this. Mr. Fritsch-Hemenway is the Director of Music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Chestnut Hill, Phildelphia. He will also accompany the service. This event is being held in the Auditorium to take advantage of the nice acoustics this space has to offer. A festive reception will follow hosted by the Mission and Outreach Committee.
