Super SOUPer Bowl of Caring Results!

#VirtualShrove

Due to the snow, there will not be a Shrove Tuesday breakfast-for-dinner feast hosted by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew’s and the Christ Church Youth Groups on site this year. In place of the event itself, we would like to follow the lead of Father Tim Schenck, online author of Clergy Confidential, Finding God in Daily Chaos. We can still share our Shrove Tuesday by eating pancakes and posting photos of the fun on social media with the hashtag #VirtualShrove. Give it a try and we'll re-post your photos!

SOUPer Bowl of Caring Drive

During the week of January 25 through February 1, the Christ Church Youth will launch a drive to tackle hunger and poverty issues in our own community as part of the SOUPer Bowl of Caring. They are participating with youth across the nation working to fight hunger and poverty around the time of the Big Game on Sunday, February 1.

All Saints' Sunday Music

Join us for two unique opportunities for memorable music at Christ Church on Sunday, November 2. At 10:00 a.m. we will welcome the Choir of Boys, Girls, and Men from Liverpool Cathedral (U.K.) who will sing for our service of Holy Eucharist on All Saints' Sunday. The choir is stopping at Christ Church as part of their U.S.A. tour. Later in the day, our own Christ Church Choir will sing the service of Choral Evensong at 5:00 p.m. featuring the music of T. Tertius Noble, C.H.H. Parry, John Sanders, and Edgar Bainton. The choir will be under the direction of guest conductor, Joel Bevington. Mr. Bevington is a candidate for the DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. A reception hosted by the Christ Church Foundation will follow the service. All are welcome to attend.
