Christ Child Ministry 2017

It is that time of the year when the Christ Child Ministry gets underway. We will serve 200 of Alexandria’s children. There will be volunteer opportunities for a number of activities including shopping, cooking, pricing, ingathering, and working at the store on Saturday December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. f you want to sponsor a child online instead of registering in church, please click here to sign up and read the instructions for shoppers. Lessons and Carols 2017

Join us for A Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. The combined choirs of Christ Church, brass quintet, guest organist Dr. Daniel Aune, and readers from throughout our community will re-tell the story of human salvation. The service will include the premiere of a new anthem commissioned by Christ Church from noted British composer, Philip Moore. A festive reception will follow in the Auditorium. The doors to the church will open at 4:30 for seating. Bring a friend!

A Statement from the Bishops of Virginia about the Charlottesville Tragedy

On Saturday our hearts were broken. An angry group of neo-Nazi and fascist protesters came into Charlottesville, Virginia, armed and armored, looking for trouble. The violence and loss of life suffered in their wake signaled yet another escalation of the hate-filled divisions of our time. The peace of a beautiful university town was shattered. The images that some had of America were broken.
