Families

What is a Family?

Families in the Episcopal Church come in all shapes, sizes, and configurations; married, divorced, partnered, remarried, single parents, kids, step-parents, no kids, grown kids. A family is truly what you say it is. Diana Garland writes in her book Family Ministry: Defining Perspective, that “family is the set of relationships that endures over a lifetime despite life’s separations.” A family like this, no matter how it looks, is truly a gift from God.

Christian Education

Christ Church offers classes on Sunday mornings for children and youth age three through 12th grade. Click here to learn more about our Sunday School program.

Worship -- Children’s Chapel

Children aged three through third grade are welcome to go to Children’s Chapel during the 10:00 a.m. service. Children begin the service sitting with their families in church and will be invited to Children's Chapel just before to the Gospel hymn. Children's Chapel includes a Gospel reading, an interactive, age-appropriate sermon, the prayers of the people, and singing songs. Children return to the church during the Peace, in time to be present for communion. Parents are welcome to go to chapel with their child but are not required to attend.

One Sock On

One Sock On is a supportive, loving, and welcoming gathering group that seeks to provide fellowship and support for parents of infants and toddlers, as well as a time for the little ones to meet each other. The group meets for weekly fellowship from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. in Room 103 in the Fowler House. Click here to send Holly & Brett Levanto an email.
